A Big Shout-Out to God!
As some of you know, my husband is a trauma anesthesiologist. Last week he had a patient who experienced complications with a bad outcome. My husband was devastated, not to mention the patient’s spouse and many children. They are a young family. I prayed and prayed and asked many others to pray as well. The next two days things looked even worse. I never gave up believing and trusting in God. I prayed, “If only I can touch the hem of your cloak Jesus, the patient will be healed.” Paul came home from work yesterday with the news that the patient woke up and is doing well! Praise God! I cannot convey enough how amazing this miracle is to my family and theirs. It is a complete change from the prognosis.
In my last post I shared how I lost a friend basically because of my relationship with Jesus. Just like scripture says in Matthew 19:29: “And every one who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or lands, for my name’s sake, will receive a hundredfold, and inherit eternal life.” God has given me a hundredfold in friends. I am surrounded by new Catholic friends who are like-minded. My new friends will drop everything and pray for a need when I ask! One amazing friend took my prayer request above to the heart of St. Padre Pio in Massachusetts yesterday! That is the very day Paul’s patient woke up. My, how God has blessed me! I even have friends in the Saints in heaven! We have an awesome God who is generous in His gifts.
I am so full of Joy and Love and I thank God for everything. I also thank those who give to God so people like me can come to know Him. A little shout-out to two people who made the biggest difference in my life: I used to be depressed and could only see evil in the world, but now I have a “Little Catholic Bubble” and I see “Life Through the Catholic Lens.” Thank you both for giving to the Lord! I hope to give like you give.
